Shut down Steam.exe.
Delete: ......\Steam\ClientRegistry.blob (look for the correct steam directory)

I think I will be waiting until the technology matures a bit more, capacities go up to at least to the 256GB level and for more reasonable prices before I spend my money on one of these. They are the wave of the future for fast systems though.

Another Way to Cycle Netgraph

The cvar incrementvar can now cycle through the netgraph command displays much easier than before. This is a much more compact and efficient way to cycle commands.

Uberslap command

To slap player with nice trick "uberslap" put this command !uberslap "name of victim" "1 - 100"

1-100 is how much life you want leave him to survive Uberslap.

Planting the pack
The player moves close to a surface and plants the TNT where his crosshairs point.
After five seconds, the pack self-primes. This is so that if FF is ON, the player does not explode the pack as he moves away.
The plugin can track up to 10 packs per player. (It can go up to 127, but a limit has been set for now) Number of packs are set by a cvar.

Detonating the pack
If any player touches/walks over/jumps on the TNT pack, it will explode.

If a grenade lands nearby, the pack will detonate.

If a bullet hits it, it will explode.

Alternatively, the TNT can be detonated remotely by the planter in three modes (determined by a cvar):
0: all the player's packs detonate at once
1: packs can be exploded individually by line of sight - the player points his crosshairs at the bomb and detonates the pack. This is the hardest method of detonation.
2: packs explode after a certain number of seconds - in a way similar to existing DoD TNT except the timer can be set by the server op

Defusing the pack
Any player can defuse another player's pack. They then get it added to their own inventory.

COMMANDS
sm_plant: plant the pack
sm_defuse: defuse the pack
sm_det: detonate the pack

Problems Downloading Maps???

With the fast and furious number of Steam updates recently out for DOD:s there have been some changes that may have affected your ability to download maps that you don't have from the server. To check your DoD:s settings do this:

1. Launch DoD:S

2. Select Options (on the left of the Main Menu)

3. Select the Multiplayer tab.

4. At the lower right of the new window, select "Allow all custom files from server" in the scroll-select window.

5. Restart DoD:s

This should now allow any map downloads to ocuur for which you do not have the current server map.

Where does the autoexec.cfg file go???

It needs to be in this file path:

\Steam\SteamApps\\day of defeat source\dod\cfg

and inside of the cfg folder. The file is a simple text file generated in notepad named: autoexec.cfg

The file will automatically run every time DoD:s is started.

Installing Maps

This example uses Cstrike in the examples. The only thing that changes is where you put them. Put them here for DoD:s

C: \Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Your_Username\day of defeat source\dod\maps

3. The next step would be going to your SteamApps file which is located at: C:\Program Files\Steam

10. When it finishes, your map has been installed.

First extract the .rar files into a new folder, then copy them into the maps folder here:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Your_Username\day of defeat source\dod\maps

Small trick

In game console type: overview_names 1

and press enter. Go back to a game and press M. It will give you small map with track of other players. Nice.

Setting the DoD:S Launch Options

Resetting the DoD:S Video Launch Options to their installation defaults:

1. Open Steam
2. Go to the "My Games" tab
3. Right-click the game which needs to be reconfigured
4. Select "Properties" from the menu
5. Click the "Set launch options..." button

To Reset video enter the following and click OK, restart Steam:
-autoconfig

Based on your installed RAM in the list below, use this on the command line:

-novid -heapsize #######

    4gb - 2097152
    3gb - 1572864
    2gb - 1048576
    1gb - 524288
512mb - 262144
256mb - 131072
128mb - 65536

Heapsize for a 2GB Ram PC in DoD:s

Goto your Installed Games list, right click on Day of Defeat: Source, select properties, Click on "Set launch Options..." then put in the following and click "OK":

-novid -heapsize 1048576

Shut down Steam and Restart Steam. Shut down all unnecessary tray applications/virus checkers/etc. when gaming in DoD:s
